Alejandro Chaskielberg is a photographer and director based in Buenos Aires, internationally recognized for a visual language that combines documentary depth with a refined, cinematic use of light and color. Trained as a Director of Photography at Argentina’s National Institute of Cinematography, his work is driven by atmosphere, narrative, and a strong sense of place.
He was named World Photographer of the Year by the World Photography Organization and has received international support and recognition from institutions such as the Magnum Foundation, the National Geographic Society, and Boston University. He was also declared a Distinguished Personality in the field of Culture by the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires. His long-term projects have been developed across Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, resulting in widely exhibited bodies of work and award-winning photobooks.
Alongside his authorial practice, Chaskielberg collaborates with global brands, cultural institutions, and artists, bringing an art-driven perspective to commissioned work. His collaborations include Marcelo Burlon County of Milan, Portofino Gin, Sony Japan, National Geographic, ACNUR, 0800 Don Rouch, and musician YSY A. Across both personal and commercial projects, his work is defined by a consistent visual authorship, transforming brand identities and real environments into emotionally resonant imagery.
