PORTOFINO GIN

In 2021, Portofino Gin — the Italian artisan spirits brand founded in the coastal village of Portofino — launched its first artist residency in collaboration with PHMuseum Days, one of Europe's leading photography festivals.

 

Chaskielberg was selected as the residency's inaugural artist. His brief: travel to Portofino and build a complete visual identity for the brand from the ground up — from concept and location scouting to shooting and full post-production.

 

The resulting images draw on the elements that define both the place and the spirit: the Ligurian Sea, the botanical ingredients at the heart of the distillation process, and the singular light of the Italian Riviera. The work was exhibited at PHMuseum Days in Bologna as part of Chaskielberg's solo show Natur-e, with Portofino Gin as lead sponsor.
